Why we should visit Japan

It’s New Years Day 2021 and I was dreaming about past travels and I came across the following article I contributed to in the Well Travelled magazine. Interestingly, I still agree, Japan is an amazing travel destination and still one of my favourite places. This is what I had to say.

How would you rate your experience?

5-stars!

The one thing not to be missed is?

It is near impossible for me to think of one thing in Japan that should not be missed, so I’m going to give you a few.

Kyoto is an amazing blend of ancient and beautiful temples, amazing lush landscapes, traditions such as tea ceremonies, Geisha and the hubub of a modern and technologically advanced society.

Jigokudani Monkey Park is in the Nagano prefecture and a must see for those who enjoy the natural beauty of Japan. Take a walk around a snow covered mountain to an outdoor onsen (spa) where local monkeys take time out to soak, play and relax.
